PEDESTAL This custom made pedestal is designed by the client, Nita Enoch Interiors, for use in her home. The proportions and elements used are to match the existing architecture. It now has a painted finish done by Nita and displays a bronze sculpture by Salvador Dali. For a look at some of our painted finishes, go to Painted Finishes and Furniture.
GUN CASE This small gun case is made of a spline joined box with a face frame of black walnut. The inside of the case is lined with a synthetic/inert fabric the looks like crushed green velvet. This is laminated to an acrylic substrate using an inert acrylic emulsion. The guns are mounted with bronze rods shaped to match the contour of each and coated with acrylic. The guns are easily removed from the case. The face frame is mounted on hinges and held shut with small magnets.
These hand colored engravings of the Yellow Breasted Chat and Key West Dove, by J.J. Audubon, are framed in 16th century 22k gold Italian High Front frames with raised gesso ornaments in the corners and centers. They use a red clay bole with a moderate amount of rub. The mats are hand painted with two panels of color and seven lines of color for accent. These are both in a private collection in Washington, D.C.
